Primary Description:
2 Mosaic Earrings. Polished Hellenistic or Roman mosaic glass fragments (100 B.C. to A.D. 50.), gilded base metal mounts; assembled. Two earrings consisting of ancient mosaic glass fragments (containing black, white, yellow, brown, and deep red glass); mounted in circular open-backed cusped settings and framed in twisted wirework. These elements dangle from thin wires in the shape of a fishhook (also referred to as a French hook design).
