Cylindrical shape; sides engraved with inscription "THIS GLASS WAS MADE BY MR JOHN PARRISH / OF WORDSLEY NEAR STOURBRIDGE / IN WORCESTERSHIRE TO / COMMEMORATE THE COMING / OF AGE OF DAVID PENNANT. ESRQ. / OF DOWNING IN THE COUNTY OF FLINT / 22nd JANy 1817" around a circular panel containing the script initials "TR" or "JR"; on the reverse of a coat of arms and the inscription "Prosperity to the House of Downing" in an arc above and "Heb D Dun Heb D Dins A Dun Digors / PENNANT & PAYTON" below; flat base; polished pontil mark.
