Olive amber non-lead glass; mold-blown. Square shape with applied flat collar and ring; shoulder has bands of zigzag and X patterns, one side has gable above sunken panel "PROFESSOR/GEO J BYRNE/NEW YORK" running vertically down; second side has "USA" in round arch at top of plain panel; third side has gable above sunken panel with "THE/GREAT/UNIVERSAL/COMPOUND/STOMACH/BITTERS/ PATENTED/1870" horizontally; fourth side has round arch above plain panel; square base has five-pointed star within depressed circle and paper label with "124".
