Primary Description:
Bottle. Translucent very deep blue, opaque white, and gold. Blown; applied, dragged, and marvered; gilded. Bottle: cylindrical. Rim plain, with rounded lip; neck short and cylindrical; shoulder slopes, with rounded edge; upper wall straight, with slight taper (central section is missing); lower wall tapers slightly and curves in at bottom; base plain, with circular (possibly annular) pontil mark (D. 1.2 cm), which appears to be fire-polished. Decorated with single trail wound spirally from underside of base to upper shoulder, and dragged upward to create eight vertical rows of festoons extending from near top of wall to edge of base; uppermost part of trail is wound 3½ times around top of wall and shoulder, and has only intermittent signs of dragging. Entire neck and all spaces between festoons are filled with simple gilded arabesques.
