Compote. Colorless glass; blown, cut, engraved. Shallow circular top with rim cut in 10 notched scallops, 9 side panels cut with fine diamonds beneath arches, 10th panel engraved "W.C. Fowler:/ PRESENTED/BY THE/DORFLINGER/GUARD/OCT.20TH/1860"; applied hollow hour-glass stem cut in vertical facets, applied flat circular foot cut underneath with a 32 point star.
