"Agate ware", opaque, grayish-green, brown and yellow glasses, low keyed, in layers; molded. (a) Basic circular body; exterior wall cut in seventeen longitudinal, rhomboidal concave facets, exposing an intricate looped design in the cut layers; upstanding indented collar cut to support an overhanging lid rimmed horizontally with seventeen rectangular facets corresponding to those on body; lid cut in seventeen slightly concave facets sloping upward to a circular area, ground level, exposing the layered colors; lid interior, gray, with deep, very glossy, colorless casing; base ground level; moderately polished.
