Primary Description: 
Plate cut and engraved in "Empire" Pattern. Colorless lead glass; blown, with cut decoration. Flat circular plate, cut in an elaborate pattern; with 12 ovals cut in fine diamonds radiating from the center, surrounded by a circle of find diamonds; the rim of the plate has six shield-shaped sections cut a variation of Russian, alternating with six circles which have a center section engraved with baskets of flowers surrounded by radiating lines. Plate edge is notched. Signed “Samuel Hawkes” in script in two places and with the “Hawkes” trademark in the center.
