Primary Description:
Opaque light blue. Blown (body blown in dip mold); linear-cut. Bottle. Body shaped like carrot, but lower half has square cross section. Rim plain, with rounded top; neck cylindrical, but narrower at bottom than at top; shoulder slopes and has rounded edge; wall straight and tapering; base consists of four vestigial feet. Linear-cut decoration on neck and wall. On neck: band of six rather irregular circular and oval cuts just below rim and, lower down, two more or less continuous horizontal lines. On wall: upper and lower registers of roughly equal size, separated by two continuous horizontal lines. Upper register contains four contiguous shallow U-shaped motifs with ends curling in and down, separated by A-shaped motifs without crossbar. Lower register has four contiguous V-shaped motifs, each with oval cut inside and smaller circular cut below; between each V, one or, in one case, two vertical lines, which separate each foot from its neighbors. Cutting is broad, shallow, and carelessly executed.
