Opaque white tin glass, possibly lead glass, also; blown and painted in bright colored enamels. (a) Slender gourd-shape, flat and narrow shoulder, short sheared neck fitted with perforated, silver cap, applied very short-stemmed circular foot; colored enameled decoration: scrolled-leaf label with "PEPPER" at top above naturalistically rendered sprays of flowers and leaves; on reverse, a similarly-rendered spray.
