Web Description: 
This pattern was copied by T. G. Hawkes and Company from the one developed by Christian Dorflinger and exhibited at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876. The blanks may be from Dorflinger's factory in White Mill and since the two companies worked closely together, Hawkes certainly had permission to copy the pattern.

Description

Primary Description: 
Red Wineglass in "Centennial" Pattern. Colorless lead glass; blown, cut. Rounded bowl cut in a pattern of 5 rows of squares and rectangles, filled with small and large cross-hatching; cut shield shape with engraved Old English "P" on one side; cut star on base with radiating lines from center; acid-stamped trademark on foot.
