Salt Shaker with Lid. Colorless glass; free-blown and cut. Spherical body with long wide cylindrical neck and flanged lip, and supported by solid conical foot with small rough pontil mark at center of slightly concave base; neck, inside at top, threaded for screw-in Tam-o- shanter top with applied short stemmed pear-shaped knob of finial; cut decoration: band of splits around lower half of foot; incised lines divide body into three narrow bands of splits, the middle having lunar slices at top and bottom; facet- cut collar-rib at base of neck below band of splits; edge of flange cut to twelve short sides; on cover, two rows of facets, each with ground hollow concave disc with hole at center; cut panels and facets on finial.
