Web Description:
This sculpture is inspired by a traditional Italian painting of a fruit still life that was made into an enamel decal. After translating the painted still life into glass, Lipman applied the vintage decal onto the glass sculpture as part of the decoration. In combining these materials, the artist has created an interesting visual interplay between glass and paint, object and subject, and two and three dimensions.
