Primary Description:
Colorless lead glass; blown-molded, engraved. Tall, waisted, four-sided form, with raised bamboo stems on the four corners, raised bamboo stems and bunches of berries on the faces, possibly mold-blown, but later cut, engraved, and polished in "rock crystal" style; the undersides of the corners with open ends of bamboo and roots; on a trumpet foot with Greek-key border at top, lozenge border at the bottom, and a band of relief-carved sprays of peaches on stems with leaves, and an intaglio engraved insect; etched mark on the underside "TIFFANY & Co." in an arched ribbon, above "PARIS EXHIBITION" in an arched ribbon, "1889" in a rectangular panel, "THOMAS WEBB & SONS" in an arched ribbon, and "GEM / CAMEO" in a shaped tablet; small paper label with typed "29" on the underside of the foot; polished foot rim.
