"Zanfirico Sample Box #01-2". (a) Zanfirico rods, plate glass, cord, colored pencil on mat board, wood, paint; assembled. Rectangular box made of colorless plate glass with wood backing board painted black. Box holds sixteen different "Zanfirico" rods. Rectangular sticker affixed above rods shows image of a car set above a fleur-de-lis. Rectangular label affixed beneath rods reads, "ROCK OF AGES / THE DISTINCTIVE BARRE GRANITE / ROCK / OF / AGES". Edges of plate glass painted white and yellow. One half of a metal wall mount affixed to back of box. Several stickers affixed to back of box: two show a boy using an atlatl, one inscribed "NORTHWEST AIRLINES / AIR MAIL" showing an image of a plane, one five cent postage stamp inscribed, "UNITED STATES POSTAGE / 5 CENTS 5", one inscribed "372 372", one inscribed, "DIEPVRIESE TIKET / Inhoud ZanfiRico Sample / Box # 01-2 / (Rock of Ages). Box signed "© 2001 Marquis" on front and back; the back also shows a black thumbprint. (b) One half of a metal wall mount.
