Dan Friday draws inspiration from his Coast Salish cultural heritage which he depicts in his glass art. He is a member of the Lummi Nation and is a Seattle-based glass artist.

Friday has spent the last twenty years working for artists such as Dale Chihuly, Paul Marioni, Preston Singletary, and many others. He has taught at the University of Washington, Pilchuck Glass School, and the Haystack Craft Center. He has held residencies at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Wash., the Burke Museum in Seattle, Wash., The Corning Museum of Glass, and the Dream Community in Tai Pei, Taiwan. Friday is a recipient of the Discovery Fellowship through (SWAIA) the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts. His work can be seen in Blue Rain Gallery (Santa Fe), Stonington Gallery (Seattle), Ainsley Gallery (Toronto), Habatat (West Palm, Fla.), Schantz (Stockbridge Mass), and in many collections around the world.
