Hethre Larivee

Glassmaker Hethre Larivee has been creating and making messes with glass since 1996, experimenting with glassblowing, flameworking, coldworking, slumping, and casting techniques. Inspired by everything from textures and social issues to nature and colors, Larivee makes flameworked beads, pendants, mandalas, and other jewelry that she hopes will evoke emotions in viewers. “I want my work to invite the viewer, or the wearer, to feel something when they engage with it.”

Larivee uses yoga to refresh her creative spirit. A certified yoga instructor and a member of the Yoga Alliance, her 2018 class at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass explores the intersection of glass art, yoga, and meditation. Her glass work has been featured in New Glass Review 27 and The Flow, and she teaches flameworking at workshops near her home in New Hampshire.
