Growing up in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, Nick Russo was amazed by fire and would indulge any opportunity to play with it. Discovering hot glass in college ignited a life-long pursuit. Russo has worked throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Nevada, assisting various glass artists and studying technique. With guidance from mentors Dawson Kellogg and Ed Broadfield, he developed skills as a glass educator and demonstrator. His work includes blown glassware, sculpture, and lighting.

Russo studied Industrial Design at the Columbus College of Art and Design, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in glass. He currently lives in Pittsburgh and is a member of The Pittsburgh Glass Center and Vessel Studio communities.
