One-Week Session

Engraving skills will be presented using both lathe turned wheels and micro motor driven burs along with the potential of combining these skills in finished artwork. New techniques will be presented daily, with time to practice skills and work on individual artwork. Students will have the opportunity to work with cameo, intaglio, or color overlay projects according to their interest. Supporting topics to include design, use and care of each tool, various engraving materials, choosing glass, and finishing your work. An educational Museum visit will help to visualize and reinforce classroom topics. All skill levels are welcome.
