Framework: Structural Flameworking

One-Week Session

While covering basic flameworking techniques, this workshop will focus on strategies for building structures in borosilicate glass. Emphasis will be placed on using small, simple motifs as units of larger, more complex constructions. Techniques for transferring simple drawings onto glass will be addressed. Students will build skills through exercises, technique samples, and demonstrations. The construction of a piece from a starting scale drawing to a finished object will be covered. This class will use borosilicate (hard) glass. All skill levels are welcome.
