This course will be an introduction to lathe flameworking. The course will cover proper machine maintenance and operation, as well as basic lathe fabrication techniques. Lathe flameworking approaches, tips, and tricks will be used to focus on assembling a drinking vessel that students will take home, along with a strong foundation in lathework theory and technique. This class uses borosilicate (hard) glass. All skill levels are welcome.
