Online Course: Inside the Rakow Research Library
Classes
During three weekly online classes, students will gain an insightful look into the rich collection of the Rakow Research Library at the Corning Museum of Glass. Hear from librarians as they share highlights from the Library’s archives and special collections and more. Students will learn how best to access materials in the world’s foremost library on the art and history of glass and glassmaking, both remotely and on site. This course is suitable for glassmakers, art enthusiasts, historians, and novices alike.
The class will be delivered via weekly video conferences that incorporate live presentations and class discussions. Classes take place Tuesdays, 7–8:30 PM EST, beginning July 6, 2021. Students registered for this course should have a reliable internet connection during class hours and a computer or tablet that can support video and audio communication. All students will have an online orientation with Studio staff prior to July 6 to ensure connectivity. If this class is full, we encourage you to email your name and phone number to [email protected] to be added to the waiting list.
