Take a day to learn flameworking borosilicate glass with the goal of creating wearable art. Students will learn multiple color application techniques, how to use a variety of hand tools, and how to form glass rods into pendants. This class will have multiple process demonstrations with working periods between demonstrations for students to apply techniques through hands-on experience at the torch. This class uses borosilicate (hard) glass. All skill levels are welcome.

For the wellbeing of all students and staff, The Studio workshops have been modified, class capacity has been reduced, and sanitizing and social distancing protocols have been introduced. Detailed information about these measures can be found on The Studio Health and Safety page.

Students registered for this class must comply with the New York State COVID-19 Travel Advisory and Museum guidelines. Because NY State strongly discourages non-essential interstate travel this class is currently only open to NY State residents.
