Classes

Classes

Studio classes are offered year-round, in a variety of techniques, for all skill levels and are taught by top international glassmaking artists and instructors. With a staff that's passionate about glass and helps to take care of all your needs while you are here, you'll find it easy to concentrate on learning all you can about glass during your time in Corning.

Spring and Summer course offerings are posted by December 15, and our Fall and Winter course offerings are posted by August 15.

The Studio requires that all students, instructors, and teaching assistants participating in on-site classes must comply with the Museum Health and Safety protocol and provide verification that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Spring and Fall Classes

Spring and fall class registration (and online class registration) is on a first-come, first-served basis. Spring course offerings are posted by December 15, and our Fall course offerings are posted by August 15. Registration begins at 9 AM Eastern Time.  If a class is full you can email [email protected] to be addded to the waiting list. As space opens, we will contact you. Experience has shown that we do receive cancellations and people do get into classes from waiting lists.

Summer and Winter Classes

Summer and winter on-site one- and two-week intensive classes are filled by an application process. Summer course offerings are posted online by December 15, and our Winter course offerings are posted by August 15. There is a non-refundable application fee of $20 to apply for up to two classes and $10 for each additional class. Applications received by March 15 for summer classes and October 15 for winter classes will be selected via a lottery process. After that, if spaces are still available they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will notify you by email by March 30 for summer intensive classes and October 30 for winter intensive classes of your class status. Full payment must be received by May 15 for summer intensive classes and December 1 for winter intensive classes.

After May 1 and December 1, when all payments have been made, we know if a class still has openings. We encourage you to contact us by email at [email protected] or by phone at +1 (607) 438-5100 after these dates to see if there are still openings and before applying. Submitting an application requires an application fee. Experience has shown that we receive cancellations and people do get into classes from waiting lists.

Age restrictions apply.
