You Design It; We Make It!

You Design It; We Make It!

You Design It; We Make It! has gone virtual at CMoG!

You asked, we listened. Exciting changes are coming to our popular You Design It; We Make It program, which has been a staple of our on-site hot glass demonstrations for nearly two decades. Families have often asked us if they can send drawings from afar, but it hasn’t been possible—until now!

Now entirely virtual, you can submit drawings from wherever you are, then watch the demo either in person at the Museum or via livestream to see the selected design come to life in glass.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Draw your idea on a piece of paper
  2. Take a photo of it, and upload it using the digital submission form below
  3. Include a description or “artist’s statement” - it helps our team understand your idea
  4. Be sure to include your name, age, and contact information so we can reach out to you if your design is selected

Our glassmakers will choose one idea every other week and make that piece, livestreamed from the Amphitheater Hot Shop on the Museum's YouTube channel. We will let the selected designer know in advance so that they can come to CMoG and watch in person or tune in online.

When the object has cooled, the designer can pick it up, or arrange to have it shipped for a fee.

We’re sorry, but we will not consider designs of any kind of weapon.
