Watercolor depicts artist's observation of glassblowers, as silhouette figures, at work in the Pilchuck hot shop. Though mostly black and white, the use of oranges and reds are used when representing heat.
"Pilchuck, Aug. 2009, R. Toledo" -- written in black watercolor on lower right corner.
One of three watercolors, each bearing same title, donated by artist for Pilchuck Glass School to sell at their annual auction on October 23, 2009.
Gift of Dale Chihuly; Chihuly bid on the piece at the 2009 Pilchuck Auction for the purpose of donating it to CMOG.
