Design drawing for oil spill platter prototype
Design drawing features two platters, one drawn above other. Platter on upper portion of drawing is view from side angle; black oil spill surrounds brown ship and light blue is used around outside of platter to indicate ocean. Platter on lower portion of drawing is view from above and is in black and white; notations detail instructions. Curvature of platter is indicated by a sketch along the lower edge of the drawing.
Title written in lower right corner of drawing.
"Hot sculpting"; "opaque black glass"; "transparent blue glass"; and "13 inch (maximum) for all platters" -- written with lines pointing to specific areas on platter on lower portion of drawing.
The Boyms collaborated with gaffers Chris Rochelle and Aaron Jack August 7-8, 2012 during their time at GlassLab at The Corning Museum of Glass. This document helped in the creation of GlassLab object GL208, oil spill platter prototype.
