"sg 273" penciled in above designs along upper edge. Since the conception of the enamel department in 1898, nearly all Tiffany enamels were labeled EL or SG and numbered sequentially. "SG" stands for the Stourbridge Glass Company.

In 1898 an enameling department was set up as part of the Stourbridge Glass Company; in 1902, it was renamed Tiffany Furnaces.
