Neon collaboration with FagSigns and Corning Museum of Glass for In Sparkling Company

The Museum collaborated with FagSigns and Matthew Day Perez to create this stunning neon sign for our exhibition, “In Sparkling Company,” which uses glass to explore what it meant to be “modern” in the 1700s and what it cost. Far from stuffy and dull, 18th-century urban social life was vibrant, varied and full of spectacle. The combination of high art and popular culture; theatricality and innovation; the refined and the extravagant; the formal and the experimental, make this sign a perfect contemporary take on the spirit of the 1700s.
